Huskies Finish Third at Literature Quiz Bowl
Launch the media gallery 1 playerThe Heartland Quiz Bowl team attended the 2026 Literature Competition in Seward on September 16. The morning consisted of four round-robin matches with the Huskies beating Humphrey and losing to Howells-Dodge, Hampton, and Fullerton to enter the single elimination tournament with a 1-3 record as the #6 seed.
The first round of the tournament saw the Heartland team in a rematch with the team from Humphrey, and they were again victorious. The second round was a rematch with the team from Howells-Dodge, and unfortunately, the team was defeated by the eventual champions. A third round was played to determine the third place finisher. The Huskies were able to avenge a previous loss by defeating the team from Fullerton to earn third place honors.
Heartland Quiz Bowl will next compete at the Women's Quiz Bowl Tournament on September 30.
