Junior High Quiz Bowl Finishes Runner-Up in Seward
One HCS Junior High Quiz Bowl Team finished runner-up in the Seward competition on Wednesday, November 5.
The team went 2-1 in the morning pool play and 4-1 in the tournament. They lost to Nebraska Christian in the championship match with a score of 80-145.
Members of the team included: Finley Eckman, Jack Bearinger, Tori Buzek, Avery Hiebner, and Ryker Stebbing.
The other team went 1-2 in the morning, however, their matches were only lost by 10 points. They lost in the first round of the tournament to Our Redeemer.
Members of this team included: Cole Eberle, Micah Haidle, Violet Goertzen, Tori Thieszen, and David Jahnke.
Another fun part of the day was that the students had the opportunity to compete against their fellow Hampton Bearcats.
