Heartland FBLA Celebrates FBLA Week
Heartland FBLA celebrated FBLA Week February 14-18. This year’s theme was Fall in Love with FBLA. We started the week off with Teacher Appreciation Day and we provided cookies for the teachers. On Tuesday, FBLA members attended the Phi Beta Lambda Business Competition Day at the University of Kearney. The following awards were received by FBLA members: Brandon Rader 1st Business Law, 1st Computer Literacy; Justine Erb 1st Keyboarding II Production, 6th Accounting I; Lauren Braun 1st Introduction to Business, 4th Keyboarding Knowledge; Lauren Klute 1st Keyboarding I Production, 2nd Keyboarding I Speed, 6th Introduction to Business; Jessica Luethje 2nd Business Law; Jessica Harris 2nd Keyboarding II Production; Andrea Eck 3rd Keyboarding I Production, 4th Keyboarding I Speed; Carly Kroeker 4th Business English; Tim Kliewer 6th Business Law.
Heartland FBLA members attended another business competition at Peru State College on Wednesday. Many received several awards in Peru: Jessica Luethje 1st Economics; Jessica Harris 3rd Accounting I; Danelle Thieszen 3rd Information Systems; Lauren Klute 4th Keyboarding I Skills; Tim Kliewer 4th Management; and Carly Kroeker 5th Marketing. Thursday was T-shirt day and every member wore their FBLA shirt to show their pride. Members also exchanged gifts on Thursday in a Secret Buddy drawing. The winners of a week-long competition to guess the amount of candy in a jar were announced on Friday. Tessa Siebert won the all school jar and Tim Kliewer won the FBLA member’s jar. This year’s FBLA Week was a very busy time for all members.
