Heartland FFA Members Attend District Events
On December 3rd, Heartland FFA members traveled to Seward to participate in the District VII Leadership Skills Events. The event was held at Seward High School and also at the Seward Civic Center.
Receiving a first place purple ribbon and qualifying for the State FFA Convention was the Freshmen Parliamentary Procedure Team. Team members are Miranda Janzen, Abigail Bechtel, Brielle van den Berg, Michael Brune, Brennan Erb, Cody Brown and Rick Siebert. Team alternates are Andrew Spader and Jordan Spencer. Also performing well was the Agriculture Demonstration team which received a blue ribbon and was selected as alternate to the State Convention. Agriculture Demonstration team members are Jason Sherman, Connor Hiebner and Darrell Traudt.
Participating in Job Interview were Jenny Warren and Cody Goertzen who both received a blue for their work. Also receiving blue ribbons were Miranda Janzen and Abigail Bechtel for the Creed Speeches. Megan Friesen was also awarded a blue ribbon for her Extemporaneous Speech.
Red ribbons were awarded to Logan Bechtel for his Natural Resources Speech and the Sophomore Parliamentary Procedure Team. Members are: Ariel Lundstrom, Miranda Driewer, Brad Ulmer, Jesse Nissen, Tanner Steingard, Spencer Friesen and Carlie Weisheit.
