Heartland FFA Competes at Livestock Judging
Thirteen FFA members attended district livestock judging March 10 at the Merrick County Fairgrounds. Heartland placed 8th out of 14 teams. The members were Kayley Paitz 14th, Grace Regier 17th, Andrew Franz 45th, Maddie Maltsberger 78th, Cheyenne Danielson 92nd, Ben Janzen 99th, Kaden Siebert 109th, Zach Quiring 116th, Jose Meza 119th, Allie Boehr 120th, Wyatt Panko 121st, Fred Beck 123rd, Merrick Maltsberger 127th. Judging categories in this competition were Market Lambs, Breeding Ewes, Breeding Does, Market Goats, Breeding Gilts, Bulls, Steers, and Cull/Keep Heifers. The teams also had to give 1 set of reasons on why they placed the breeding gilts in the order that they did.
