Royce Schweitzer Named Secondary Teacher of the Year

           Mr. Royce Schweitzer, instrumental music teacher, was named Secondary Teacher of the Year by the Nebraska Rural Community Schools Association (NRCSA).  Mr. Schweitzer was recognized at the NRCSA State Convention on March 18, 2003.

He was honored for his excellence in education and his dedication to his students and community.  Mr. Schweitzer is currently president of the Nebraska Band Masters Association and has been a band instructor in the former Henderson and now Heartland Community Schools for the past 27 years.  We congratulate Mr. Schweitzer for receiving this honor.

A well deserved honor. Mr. Schweitzer is gifted man, in music and, most importantly, in character. A great role model for students and other teachers.
