FFA Competes at District Leadership Development Event
Heartland FFA members competed at the District LDE competition on Wednesday, December 13.
After receiving a callback for Creed Speaking, Emma Ott placed first place and qualified for state.
Emma Ott received a purple ribbon and qualified for state while Maddie Janzen received a red in the Creed Speaking competition.
Katrina Epp and Allie Boehr received a blue for their Ag Demo on Eggs.
Kinsley Friesen, Colby Frisbie, Amanda Goertzen, Nevada Gloystein, Maddie Janzen, David Hiebner, and Emma Ott received a red ribbon for Conduct of Chapter Meetings.
Zach Miller, Sam Quiring, Blake Goertzen, Ben Janzen, Thane Wetjen, and Madison Mason received a red ribbon for Senior Parliamentary Procedure. Thane Wetjen and Zach Miller received a blue ribbon for Employment Skills. Ben Janzen received a red ribbon in Senior Public Speaking.
On December 13, FFA members traveled to The Leadership Center in Aurora to compete in Leadership Development Events.
Members who attended spent the weeks before preparing for their competitions.
In the Creed competition, Emma Ott placed first and qualified for state, and Maddie Janzen received a red ribbon.
In the Junior Public Speaking competition, Lexi Inglsbee received a blue ribbon, and in the Senior Public Speaking competition, Ben Janzen received a red ribbon.
In the Employment Skills competition, Thane Wetjen and Zack Miller both received blue ribbons.

The Parliamentary Procedure Team consisting of HCS FFA Officers received a red ribbon. Congratulations to all members!
