Launch the media gallery 1 player - media #10The Heartland third graders enjoyed a field trip to the Hastings Museum on Wednesday, April 24.
They learned about Edwin Perkins and how he made Kool-Aid successful. The students played a true/false game about him and even make their own Kool-Aid to take home.
Exploring extinct sea creatures and fossils was another aspect of the trip. The third graders made clay molds of fossils and also went on a "dig" for them.
One other major highlight was viewing a planetarium show to learn about how space technology is helping us in everyday life.
