7th Grade FCS Cupcake Competition
The seventh grade FCS class had their "Cupcake Wars" competition on March 13.
Teacher Anne Regier does this unit each semester, and every incoming group looks forward to having their opportunity to learn, bake, and compete.
For the unit, the students worked on how to follow a cupcake recipe with the added challenge of keeping their cupcakes moist since they baked them on Monday and decorated them on Wednesday. They also created a buttercream frosting. "Nature" was the theme that the seventh graders had to decorate within.
Four judges came to sample the cupcakes and give critiques. In the end, the group who created the "Sunny Side Up" beach-themed cupcakes were declared the winners.
