Elizabeth Mestl & Maddie MillerHeartland's Maddie Miller and Elizabeth Mestl both medal at Class C State Golf. On Monday, Miller shot a 90, and Mestl finished with a 91. Tuesday's windy, cold weather didn't stop Heartland's Mestl from coming back the second day of the tournament to fire an 83 and tie for 9th, and Miller from firing an 86 to place 11th. Lynzi Becker of Cozad placed first with a two day score of 156. The two day tournament was played at Lake Maloney Golf Course in North Platte. Next year, Maddie Miller will be returning as a senior and Elizabeth Mestl as a junior, both look forward to another trip to state.
