Heartland golfers took to the course on March 13 for the first
contest of the year. Competing in a three- man scramble at Hidden
Hills in Geneva, the Huskies brought home medals. Nine golfers
competed in three divisions.

In the first division earning
third place with a score of 70 (after a three hole playoff broke a
tie with Wood River) the team of Cory Gabehart, Nick Heinrichs and
Jesse Nissen received their medals. The second division team of
Alex Block, Caleb Epp, and Lance Hiebner finished in fourth place
with a score of 81.

In the final division the team of
Travis Jensen, Connor Hiebner and Tavis Koehn placed second with a
score of 81 after their two-hole playoff to break a three-way tie
for first place. They bypassed Fillmore Central to take second. The
next contest will be a quad at Sutton on March 25 with tee off at
4:00.
