The Heartland Boys and Girls Track Teams competed in the D-6 District Track Meet in Kenesaw on Wednesday, May 8. In 2017, Heartland Community Schools held the first Academic Letter of Intent ceremony for students who excel in the classroom. The Heartland third graders enjoyed a field trip to the Hastings Museum on Wednesday, April 24. They learned about Edwin Perkins and how he made Kool-Aid successful. The Heartland Band and Choir students performed at the 2024 District Music Contest on April 18 and 19 in Milford. Thursday held the vocal performances, and Friday was band selections. The Heartland FFA competed and participated in the Nebraska State FFA Convention April 3-5. On Monday, April 8, the Heartland National Honor Society held their induction ceremony. Twenty-five sophomores joined the chapter, and 11 seniors were honored with their gold cords for graduation.
