Quiz Bowl Competed at SNC Meet

The Heartland Quiz Bowl Team traveled to Clay Center to attend the SNC Quiz Bowl competition hosted by Sandy Creek. The afternoon started with one practice round for each team to review the rules and allow the workers to work out the kinks followed by a double-elimination tournament. This year, the Heartland FFA is combining its auction and awards ceremony into one event. Junior High Quiz Bowl Finishes Second at ESU Tournament

Two junior high teams competed at the ESU 6 Quiz Bowl Tournament at the Seward Civic Center on Wednesday, March 4. Both teams went 3-0 in their morning pool play games. In the afternoon tournament, the team of Jack Bearinger, Tori Thieszen, Avery Hiebner, David Jahnke, and Taylor Schmidt lost in sudden death to Dorchester. HCS Fifth Grader Top Ten Finalist in Essay Contest

Sign up for P-T Conferences Held March 9 & 10

Parent/Teacher conferences will be held on the evenings of March 9 and 10 from 4:30-8:30 p.m. Parents of all PK-12 students are able to schedule conferences from 4:30-8:30 p.m. both evenings. H&H Cheer Team Competes at State

The H&H Bearcat Cheerleaders took the competition floor on Friday, February 20, at 3:43 p.m. for the 2026 Nebraska State Cheer and Dance Championships. Quiz Bowl Team Finishes Third at ESU 6 Competition

Heartland was represented by two teams at the ESU 6 Quiz Bowl Competition held in Seward on February 11. The teams were divided into three divisions based on school size, and both teams were in the small school division. High School Robotics Update

Representing the Heartland High School Robotics Team this year is freshman Roman Wolfe and sophomore Jack Rose. On Saturday, January 31, the team traveled to Holdrege for a competition. Facing 28 teams there, Jack and Roman finished third in the qualification rounds and third overall.
