Friends of Henderson Award Presented to Blaine Friesen

Blaine Friesen, secondary principal received the “Friends of Henderson Award” this year at the Chamber of Commerce Banquet.  Mr. Friesen has been very involved in the community over the past 30 years plus.  He is an individual who really cares about young people and is very supportive of their activities and events.  Friesen has been very active in his church activities serving on several committees and leadership positions at both the local and conference level.  He has served as a Sunday school teacher.  Friesen is a past president of the chamber and has been active in many chamber activities.

Mr. Friesen has served his profession well participating in regional ad state committees.  He is highly respected in his professional organization.  Most of all he as served the youth of this community first as a school board member and then as an educator.  Mr. Friesen has gone far beyond the requirements of his position by supporting the youth and showing how much he cares for their success.  He has been instrumental in the development of the local Fellowship of Christian Athletes organization.  He is truly a team player and a true professional.  The community of Henderson can be grateful for the way he has served our youth.  He really cares about the future of the Henderson community.
