8th Grade Career Class
The 8th grade Careers class recently toured Henderson Health Care Services while studying the Health Science career cluster. Shelly Amack and Lisa Tessman gave a tour to ten students who were shown CAT Scan machines, the pharmacy, emergency room, physical therapy area and many other careers available locally. Students also listened to people who work in those fields about what kind of education they obtained and what their job is like. Students were also encouraged to seek employment while in high school as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Dietary Health Aide to gain experience in the health care field in preparation for a career in that field.
