While the Heartland Girls Golf Team began their season on the first day of school, the volleyball and football teams had their season openers this past week.
On Thursday, the volleyball team went 1-1 hosting Palmer and Osceola. They beat Palmer 2-1 and lost to Osceola 0-2.
The next day, the football team traveled to play Shelby-Rising City where they suffered a loss.
Saturday held a volleyball tournament in Overton for the Huskies. They faced tough competition playing Overton, Maxwell, and Hitchcock County. Unfortunately they were unable to add any wins to their early season record from the day.
This week the girls golf team will play Exeter-Milligan/Friend on Tuesday and at an invite with Grand Island Central Catholic on Thursday. The volleyball team will play at Wilber on Thursday, and the football team will face Nebraska Christian at home on Friday.
