UPDATE:
Since October 25, we have seen 55 documented positive cases of COVID.
We ask for you to monitor your child’s health closely and see a physician if two or more of the following symptoms are present:
- Nausea
- Vomiting
- Diarrhea
- Fever, chills
- Cough
- Shortness of breath
- Congestion or runny nose
- Tiredness
- Muscle or body aches
- Headache
- Loss of taste or smell
- Sore throat
We would also ask you to consider helping slow this spread by voluntarily having your child wear a mask at school for the next two weeks. This is not a requirement, but any help would be appreciated.
As we continue to safely and effectively navigate the 2021-22 school year, Heartland Community Schools remains focused on keeping our students and staff in a safe environment. In a transparent effort to keep our families updated and healthy, as well, this dashboard will be updated with our latest information. To protect the privacy of the individuals, we are not in a position to provide additional information.

Know How It Spreads
COVID-19 and the Delta Variant spread from person to person through the following routes:

Between people who are in close contact (within 6 feet).

Through respiratory droplets produced when an infected persons coughs, sneezes, breathes, sings, or talks.

Respiratory droplets cause infection when they are inhaled or deposited on mucous membranes, such as those inside the nose and mouth.
Keep Yourself Safe

Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces

Be aware of your health on a daily basis and address symptoms when not feeling well
