Google Tools

To use Google tools:
- Enter term in search box
- Click on “Show options” (upper left)
- From menu on left under Standard View, select Related Searches, Wonder Wheel, or Timeline
- Related Search – Generates a list of terms related to your search.
- Wonder Wheel – Students can see concepts and refine their search with this web. The search term appears in the center of a wheel with related search terms branching off. Clicking on a term generates a new web linked to the original web.

- Timeline – Especially helpful for history study / projects. Students can limit searches to dates displayed on the timeline.
I’d be glad to assist your students with other ways to get better search results. Joan Friesen
