The Heartland FFA Chapter recently welcomed 16 new members into active membership and awarded these members the Greenhand Degree. To receive the Greenhand Degree a student must be enrolled in their first year of agricultural science, have a satisfactory plan for a supervised agricultural experience (SAE) and must have demonstrated their understanding of the history and purpose of the FFA.
To help celebrate accomplishments of the Heartland Greenhand Degree winners, a hamburger feed was held. Special thanks to Circle 5 for donating the hamburgers and buns. Also, thank you to Alan Janzen, Brian Janzen and Glen Ott for grilling the hamburgers. After the meal the Heartland FFA Officers awarded the Greenhand Degrees to the new members. Receiving their Greenhand Degrees were; Sam Boardman, Deit Driewer, Justin Foster, Matt Hiebner, Mattison Hiebner, Maelyn Huebert, Aaron Jensen, Ashton Kroeker, Bianca Kujala, Emily Ott, Daniel Quiring, Brent Regier, Stephanie Stamp, Nikki Chacon, Leslie Borroyo and Alex Ruybalid
