Did you know???? Students who qualify for free or reduced lunch can take the ACT twice with a fee waiver. See Mrs. Koehler if you need a waiver.
When registering for the ACT or SAT use the school code - 281-081 so HCS will receive your score to record on your transcript for scholarships and colleges, although UNL (ACT code 2482) will only accept scores from ACT directly.

Choose either of two test options – the ACT Assessment (original test) or the ACT assessment Plus Writing which includes a 30-minute Writing Test (an additional fee of $15.00 is required). Very few colleges and universities require the Writing Test. Check with the colleges you are considering – or go to www.actstudent.org for a list of institutions that require or recommend the Writing Test.
Regular registration fee is $38. Late registration fee is an additional $24.
The Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test (PSAT) will be offered to 11th grade students on October 15. Students will given a PSAT Bulletin which will help prepare them for the test. This test is used to predict future success on the SAT or ACT and consequently in college. Calculators will be allowed. Students will be signing up ahead of the test date. Cost is $14.00.
