Seniors: Check your email for links to the following scholarships: 

Apply for EducationQuest's Scavenger Hunt scholarship! Students in grades 9-12 can apply for a $500 scholarship by completing a scavenger hunt on EducationQuest's website: www.educationquest.org. Deadline: March 31.

The Conestoga Mall Community Service Scholarship is open to 2014 high school graduating seniors. Who maintain high scholastic level as deemed within their capability while participating in activities dedicated to improving the quality of life in their school and community. Must be postmarked between March 1 – 31.

Nebraska Legal Professionals Association: Applicants must plan to enroll full-time in paralegal, legal secretarial, criminal justice, or a law-related undergraduate program. Deadline: March 31.

Cornerstone Bank is offering a scholarship to a Heartland graduate. Employees and immediate family members are ineligible.  Applicants will be interviewed. Deadline: April 1.

Applications are available for the Lincoln Builders Bureau Scholarship. Applicants must be an employee of a Lincoln Builders Bureau member company, or the dependent of an employee AND enroll in an area of study related to Construction Science.  Deadline: April 1.

Henderson State Bank is offering a scholarship to a HCS graduate. Must be in the top 50% of the class and plan to enroll in a field of study employable in a rural community. Deadline: April 9.

Alpha Delta Kappa, a professional teaching organization, is offering a $100 scholarship to an area graduate who plans to enter the teaching profession. Deadline: April 10.

The High Plains Chapter of the American Meteorological Society and the National Weather Association are offering a $500 scholarship for a student who plans to pursue a career in the physical sciences. There are also stipulations on where this student will attend college. Deadline: April 15.

The James Cox Foundation offers $1,000 scholarships to to Nebraska graduates. The Foundation gives special consideration to needy students residing in Hamilton and York Counties and families who are supporting more than one child in higher education pursuits. Deadline: April 15.

Ott Family Scholarship: Preference given to people entering health-related or teaching fields. Deadline: April 15.

Henderson Community Foundation: One application for 2 scholarships (includes the Lauren Huebert Memorial Scholarship). Essay required. Deadline: April 17.

Allen M. Friesen/Norm Yoder Superintendent's Scholarship. Preference is given to applicants going into teacher education. Deadline: April 23.

“B. Davis Scholarship”
The creators of the “Student Award Search Aid” website are renewing the scholarship for 2014. Visit their website athttp://www.studentawardsearch.com/scholarships.htm to read about them and to apply for our scholarship.  While you’re there, please browse through the rest of the site to learn more about applying for scholarships.
The deadline for applications is May 26, 2014. Amount of Scholarship:  $1,000.
