Seniors: Check your email for links to the following scholarships: 

 

Henderson Community Foundation: One application form is used for 3 scholarships: Lauren Huebert Memorial Scholarship, Friesen/Yoder Superintendent Scholarship and Henderson Community Foundation Scholarship. Essay required. Return scholarship applications to Mrs. Koehler. Deadline: April 1.

Pink Bandana Breast Cancer Scholarship: Applicant must be a senior at a Nebraska high school who is planning to enroll in a 2 or 4-year college for the 2016-2017 academic year and must be a student who has battled breast cancer, or a student who has a sibling, guardian or biological parent who has battled breast cancer within the past 10 years. Deadline: April 1.

 
Henderson State Bank Scholarship: Applicants must be in the top 50% of their class to apply and plan to enter a career field that is employable in the rural setting (agriculture, medical, education, business, etc). A short essay is required. Deadline: April 11.
 
Insuring Success Scholarship Contest: Applicant must be a NE resident and submit a 1 page essay: Who is the most influential person in your life that has help ensure your success? Why?  Deadline: April 15.
 
James M. Cox Scholarship: Must complete the FAFSA and provide letters of recommendation and an essay. Based primarily on financial need. Deadline: April 15.
 
Nebraska Coaches Association Scholarship: Scholarship Criteria:1) Upper 25% of class –OR-3.75 Cumulative GPA, 2) Must be at least a 2 year participant in 2 sports, 3) Must have earned varsity letter in 2 sport, 4) Must include at least one letter of recommendation from a high school coach, 5) ACT minimum score of 24. Deadline: April 18.

 

Ott Family Scholarship: Preference will go to people majoring in either health-related professions or elementary or secondary teaching. Turn completed apps in to me. Deadline: April 20.
 
Allen M. Friesen/Norm Yoder Superintendent's Scholarship: First consideration will be given to someone going into teacher education. Deadline: April 20.
 
Alpha Delta Kappa scholarship: Awarded to a student planning to enter the teaching profession. Deadline: April 22.
 
Chris Nelsen Scholarship: Students must be residents of York County and plan to study agriculture. Deadline: April 24.
 
Independent Cattlemen of Nebraska: Must be the child of an Independent Cattlemen of Nebraska member - can attend any college with any major. Deadline: April 30.
