Nebraska All-State Choir
Heartland Community Schools students Zach Dente, Ethan Hall, and Addie Swartzendruber have been selected to participate in 2016 Nebraska All-State Choir held November 16-18 on the campus of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. These students were selected from among 2000 singers across the state who auditioned for a spot in the 450 voice choir.
This year’s All-State Choir will be directed by Dr. Richard Bjella, Director of Choral Studies at Texas Tech University. The choir will rehearse with Dr. Bjella for 3 days and present a final concert, in conjunction with the All-State Jazz Band on Friday, November 18 at 4:00 PM. Tickets can be ordered through the UN-L Lied Center Box office.
Addie (Alto I) and Ethan (Bass I), both seniors, share the honor of being 3-year All-State Choir members. Zach (Tenor II), a sophomore, was selected in his first year of eligibility. Congratulations to these Heartland performers!
