Heartland's Huskie Bots to Compete

HUSKIE BOTS ARE ROLLING

Heartland Junior High has formed a competitive First Lego League (FLL) Robotics Team formed of students interested in robotics.  The competition team consists of 10 students and 2 coaches.  Every year FLL releases a new challenge based on a real-world scientific issue.  This year’s Challenge is called “Trash Trek”.  The purpose is to reduce trash or change the way we handle it.  Each Challenge consists of three parts: the Robot Game, the Project, and the FLL Core Values. The “Huskie Bots” meet twice a week and work on programming a robot to complete different missions on the playing field.  Students also work on developing an innovative solution to the trash challenge.  The “Huskie Bots” also work on team building activities and developing positive relationships.

The "Huskie Bots" will go to Columbus on January 23 to pit their robot and skills against 25 other teams.
