Second Graders Are Thankful
The second grade children are thankful for all their friends at Heartland! Recently, they wrote about other things they are thankful for this Thanksgiving.
I’m thankful for my mom and my dad. I’m thankful for my cousins
and I’m thankful for my grandma too. I’m thankful for my parents
because if I didn’t have parents I couldn’t survive. I’m thankful
for my cousins because they are older than me but they still let me
play with them. I’m also thankful for my grandma because she spoils
me.
Odessa
This Thanksgiving I am thankful for my family because they take
care of me. I like my Grandma Grosshans because she lets me go to
the center to shoot hoops. I like my grandma because she lets me
pick out my favorite toys.
Trevor
This Thanksgiving I am thankful for my family because they take
care of me. Also, I am thankful for my dog and cat because they let
me play with them. Katie, my sister helps me play volleyball so I
am really thankful for her.
Rhianna
This Thanksgiving I am thankful for my parents and my brothers. I
am thankful for my parents because I do whatever they say. I am
thankful for my brothers because I play with them.

This Thanksgiving I am thankful for my bones because if I didn’t
have my bones I could not run or move. I am also thankful for my
family because they are caring for me. I am also thankful for my
church because how else would I know who God and Jesus are. In the
Bible it tell me stories about them.

This Thanksgiving I am thankful for love, my family and friends.
Love makes me feel good. My family helps me do work and friends
play with me.

I am thankful for having a family, a sister and brother, and having
friends too. If I didn’t have a family I wouldn’t be born. If I
didn’t have a brother or sister, who would look after me? If I
didn’t have friends I wouldn’t have friends to play with me.

This Thanksgiving I am thankful for my family. They help me with my
work. They help me read. I am thankful for my two dogs because they
play with me.
Dillon
This Thanksgiving I am thankful for Kaleb, Zachary and my mom. My
friends always play with me. My mom does laundry.

This Thanksgiving I’m thankful for my family, friends and water.
I’m thankful for my family because they take care of me. I’m
thankful for my friends because if I didn’t have friends I would be
bored. I’m thankful for water because if we didn’t have water we
would die.

This Thanksgiving I am thankful for my family. They always help me
when I need help. The other things I am thankful for are Mrs. Goff
and all my classmates. They are nice and friendly to me.

This Thanksgiving I am thankful for my family and my brother and
sister. They are part of my family. I am thankful for my family
because they make me feel good. They make me feel good because they
love me.

This Thanksgiving I am thankful for Mrs. Goff because she helps me
spell words. I am thankful for Dillon because he plays with me at
recess. I am thankful for Ian because he runs with me at
recess.

This Thanksgiving I am thankful for my dad, mom and brother because
my mom feeds me, my dad helps me and my brother plays with me.

I am thankful for church.

me up. I am thankful for my parents because they will take me to
Disneyland. I am thankful for my teacher because she will help me
learn in math.

in because some people do not have these things. I am also thankful
for the school because we have a nice teacher.

relatives because they’re really, really special. My parents are
special because they take care of me. My Dad makes the best Ramen
noodles and my Mom makes the best zucchini chocolate chip
muffins!

food and make sure that when I get hurt Mom or Dad will get a
Band-Aid for me so I won’t keep on crying.

moon, animals, God, Jesus, my ancestors, money, books, hotels,
motels, air, birds, fresh cookies, grass, trees, Easter, Halloween,
bikes, Thanksgiving and Valentine’s Day.

I am so thankful for the people we have because it would be so
lonely without them. I am so thankful for the earth and everything
on the earth like the food and the nice things we have in our
bodies like the brain, heart and the bones. Why the bones? Because
we would be a glob without them!

whole family, my teacher and my bed. I am thankful for my bed
because it is very cozy. I’m thankful for my home because it is
full of heat in winter.

I am thankful for God because God helps me live. He helps me keep
my heart pumping. I am thankful for my Mom and Dad since they love
me and they take very good care of me and I am thankful for my
friends because when I fall down then they help me up.

thankful for my Mom and Dad because they make supper. They make
tator tot casserole.

am thankful for doctors because when you break a bone some people
can’t see their doctor when they break a bone.
