Golfers Compete in Meets
Weisheit takes home medal
Huskies competed in the Tri County Invite at Hidden Acres Golf Course in Beatrice on September 4. Twelve schools competed with a total of 48 girls. Heartland’s own Carlie Weisheit took sixth place with her personal record of 103. She started out with 53 and came back with 50. Brittany Ratzlaff had a 61 on the front nine and finished with 9 to give her 20 for the day. Jennifer Yoder shot a 67 on the front and ended with 65 to give her 132.
Heartland takes second and third
Huskies competed in the Fullerton Dual at the Pawnee Hills Golf Club on September 8. The dual was won by Fullerton but Heartland took second and third individually. Carlie Weisheit shot a 53 for second and Jennifer Yoder shot a birdie on hole eight to give her 55 for third. Jennifer Brittany Ratzlaff shot 62 and Andrea Boardman 65.
Golfers compete at Southern Hills
September 10 saw the Huskies taking to the links at Southern Hills in Hastings. The Hastings St. Cecelia Invite had ten teams competing and a total of 47 girls. Huskies finished eighth with a score of 480. Medaling for the Huskies was Carlie Weisheit in fourteenth place with 108. Carlie had 53 on the front and 55 on the back. Brittany Ratzlaff shot 118 with matching nines of 59. Jennifer Yoder then came in with a total 122 and the front nine of 62 and a back of 60. Andrea Boardman finished with 132 after a front nine of 68 and a back of 64.
