Nissen Brings Home Gold
The Southern Nebraska Conference Golf Meet was held May 8 at
Hidden Hills in Geneva. Eight conference schools competed and
Heartland’s Jesse Nissen took home the gold.
Jesse shot 41 on the front and 39 on the back to finish in first
place with 80. Spencer Friesen came in with 88 shooting 43 on the
front and 45 on the back. Seth Schaldecker started with a 56 and
came back with 42 to end the day with 98. Tavis Koehn shot 44 on
the front and 56 on the back to end with 100. Luis Romo shot 53 and
came back with 48 to finish with 101. The Huskies finished with a
team score of 366 and in sixth place. Winning the meet was
Fillmore Central with 343.
