During the week of February 23-27, the Heartland FFA Chapter observed National FFA Week. The week was full of many activities that helped promote FFA locally and at the State level. Here is what the Heartland FFA Chapter did for National FFA Week:
Monday – P.A.L.S. Day. Freshman FFA members read to the Heartland Community School’s Kindergarten class. P.A.L.S. stands for Partners in Active Learning and Support.
Tuesday – FFA Lunch Day. Pizza and pop was served to FFA members for lunch.
Wednesday – Drive Your Tractor to School Day. FFA members drove their tractors to school.
Thursday – FFA Member Appreciation Day. FFA members received a candy bar as a thank you for their work during the school year.
Friday – FFA Barnyard. The Heartland FFA members helped set up and supply animals for the Barnyard. Animals included calves, goats, dogs, rabbits and a duck.
